This webinar will provide an introduction to the Success Measures Data System (SMDS), our specialized online platform that can help you conduct and manage all phases of your evaluation. SMDS houses our more than 300 data collection tools for community development work, including community revitalization, green, housing, and resident services.  For this webinar, we will highlight the financial capability tools available for adults and youth; demonstrate how to use and modify tools through the newly redesigned system; and provide examples of how organizations are using these tools with clients.  Even if your work is not focused on financial capability, the webinar will be of interest and relevance, as the functions, features, and processes of the system are common across all tools.

The Success Measures Financial Capability Tools, a comprehensive suite of measurement instruments, can help document the results of your financial capability programs.  The tools, created by and for practitioners, cover topics related to the knowledge and skills acquired by clients, including budgeting, saving, managing debt, accessing credit products, and financial decision making.  In addition, many tools focus on measuring the changes in consumers’ attitudes, behaviors, and resilience resulting from an array of financial capability programs, including financial coaching, financial education, housing, foreclosure mitigation, credit counseling, and asset-building efforts, such as Individual Development Accounts.
