Since 2005, Success Measures has served as an evaluation resource for NeighborWorks America’s national programs and network of 250 housing and community development organizations. As one of these efforts, Success Measures designs and leads the multi-year national Community Impact Measurement Project which began in 2013. With more than 100 NeighborWorks organizations participating, this is one of the largest multi-site efforts in the community development field to assess quality of life, including measures of social cohesion and community engagement. Organizations have collected three rounds of data in the communities they serve and are using this data locally to understand their impacts and the changes in the targeted communities over time. Success Measures’ facilitation of peer conversations within the cohort provides opportunity for organization staff to develop leadership and evaluation capacity and supports each organization to be successful in its evaluation efforts.
Other NeighborWorks America engagements have included Success Measures’ support for both individual organizations as well as program cohorts developing and revising organizational theories of change and consulting and technical assistance for outcome evaluation across multiple program areas, including community revitalization and engagement, shared equity, housing, financial capability, resident services and healthy housing and communities.
