Over many years, Success Measures has served as long-term evaluation partner to the Regional Foundation (formerly Wells Fargo Regional Foundation). The Regional Foundation works to improve the lives of children and families in low-income Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware communities by concentrating its resources on comprehensive, neighborhood-based economic and community development initiatives.
Currently, the Success Measures team provides foundation grantees customized evaluation services that help them measure the outcomes of their community revitalization work, which includes midtown revitalization, creative placemaking, and community safety improvement. The team supports the groups’ evaluation efforts with tailored data collection tools that align with their programs and goals.
In earlier work, the team assisted the foundation and over 70 of its neighborhood revitalization program grantees to measure outcomes over time. Success Measures’ support to these grantees included developing custom theories of change and evaluation plans, supporting and building grantee capacity toward a culture of evaluation and providing technical assistance.
In partnership with Reinvestment Fund, Success Measures also conducted a comprehensive 10-year evaluation of the Wells Fargo Regional Foundation’s overall grantmaking strategies resulting in refinements to the foundation’s funding approaches. (2006 – 2026)
Arturo Garcia, Jr. participated in the Regional Foundation’s annual partnering gathering in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under the theme “Better Together” in late March. He reflected on his experience in “Participating in the “Better Together” Convening with the Regional Foundation.”
