This comprehensive publication documents the background, implementation, and findings of the Financial Capability Demonstration Project, a national multi-year initiative designed to expand the scope and scale of financial capability programs that support low- and moderate-income families and individuals. A focus of the project was a demonstration learning cohort of 30 nonprofits across the country who received focused support, training, and coaching services over a two-year period. This major effort, supported by a major investment by the Citi Foundation, drew on the nationally recognized expertise of NeighborWorks America’s training, technical assistance and evaluation offerings including the NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling (NCHEC), NeighborWorks Training Institute (NTI), Success Measures®, and NeighborWorks National Homeownership Programs.
