This new report – On the Path to Health Equity: Building Capacity to Measure Health Outcomes in Community Development – by Success Measures at NeighborWorks America and Enterprise Community Partners describes findings and insights for the field from their innovative national initiative which equipped 20 housing and community development organizations to evaluate the health outcomes across a range of programs.
The two-year Health Outcomes Demonstration Project deployed the Success Measures Health Outcome Tools – available at no cost to the field – alongside technical assistance, peer-learning opportunities and grant resources to foster organizational learning and expand the evaluation capacity of participating organizations. By the end of the project, the organizations were equipped to connect their work with health outcomes and partner with the health sector to strategically address the root causes of persistent health disparities.
